MYTH: Hoodie Who

A character limited by resources and
networks strives to become a celebrity
through manipulating friends and
acquaintances.  These people participate
in the Hoodie Who’s dream of success for
awhile in anticipation of reciprocation
when they“make it”.  But eventually, the
Hoodie Who cannot deliver what he or
she promised and people abandon
them.  The Hoodie Who succumbs to a
life of denial and implosion repeating an
“if only” mantra in their head.  A Wise Old
Man or Woman comes forward with the
elixir of knowledge that people must live
in the lifestyle to which they are assigned.
A Hoodie Who cannot climb out of their
life circumstance on the backs of those
around them.
Some people try to overcome their life
circumstance by seeking the obligation
of others to provide the resources they
need to achieve the kind of success they
think they are deserving of.  Hoodie
Whos are not satisfied with their lives in
the status quo and have a burning
desire for limelight and ego
glorification.

Their strategy is to ascend to some
position of power through the
beneficence of others and also through
the time-honored method of networks,
manipulation and paybacks.  The
payday never comes and they end up
abandoned and lost.  Still and all,
Hoodie Whos are compelled to enable
all sorts of devices and tactics to make
others feel obligated.

The real problem arises when time runs
out and these characters can no longer
hold the promise of reciprocation at bay.
When friends and acquaintances ask
the Hoodie Who to pay back the debts
they have incurred while seeking the
version of themselves that they wish to
be, it causes the Hoodie Who to go into
denial.  They often think that people lack
faith in them and their big break is just
around the corner.

Obligation and rescue are rudimentary
terms to describe energy cording that
has been attached to allow people to
feed off of one another in order to
survive.  This type of energy exchange is
wholesome on a certain level with
children and adults, adults and elderly
parents, husbands and wives as well as
certain types of friendships and
business associations.  But Hoodie
Whose are different in their wish to feed
off of other people’s energy to boost
their self esteem and further a version of
themselves that they wish to be.

Hoodie Whos are often assigned to
lives of the status quo and they loathe
their position.  They are enraged by their
karma in a world that enumerates worth
with status.  These characters feel if they
just had a chance to elevate their status
(and the self esteem) everything would
be in sync.  It is a crippling state of
affairs for those who have been
assigned to these sorts of lifetimes in
the status quo.  They often end up bitter
or in denial trying to fulfill a version of the
life they think they should have.

The day-to-day world is excruciating for
Hoodie Who people especially in a
driven society that only pushes one
lifestyle choice i.e., limelight, ego
glorification, and competition over
others.  It is true that a consumer driven,
capitalistic society affords great
potential.  And competition over others
can be worthwhile and actually further
humanity beyond people’s wildest
expectations.  But drilling home the fact
that people living lives of the status quo
are “nobodies” and not worthy of people’
s time and effort is an aberration and a
form of cruelty to be sure.

Hoodie Whos are struggling with identity
issues and feeding off the obligations of
others in order to survive in the world
and bolster their position.  Sometimes
they break free of this cycle if a Wise Old
Men and Wise Old Women gently
encourages them to see how
successful they really are in their current
life.  When people acknowledge the
Hoodie Who’s talent and ability in their
current position as wholesome and
desirable, they are providing an
important service and are instrumental
in forwarding the betterment of mankind
as well.
Characters:
Hoodie Whos are wanna bes.  They
often live in the past or the future
pursuing a version of themselves they
wish to be.  These people are not
malicious, per say, but they are
dreamers.  They fully intend to pay back
their debts when they are successful
but payday never arrives so they are
unable to repay the obligations they
have incurred.

Most people in relationships with
Hoodie Whos will walk away from them
but some are obligated and are
“trapped” in their association.  As is the
case with energy cording, one person
has the strength or resources and
another is feeding off of it.

As previously mentioned some forms of
energy cording are worthwhile and
bolster people who are in a subordinate
position temporarily.  To encourage
people and stand by them during trials
and tribulations without a desire for
remuneration on the givers part, is
Divine.  But in the case of the Hoodie
Who, the foundation of relationship is
found in the character wishing to be
someone they are not and which is, or
course, some sort of unattainable
ideal.

Problems arise when the association
begins to drain the giver and to extend
over too long of a period of time.  The
relationship becomes dysfunctional and
should be severed.  At the core, a
Hoodie Who is a wanna be who wishes
to escape their life circumstance at any
cost.

1.  Narcissists
2.  Accumulators
3.  Pack Rats
4.  Dreamers
5.  Eternal adolescents

Characters in this quagmire are often
associated with self imposed traps in
thinking in which they have a vision of
themselves that is out of line with
reality.  This is not necessarily a
narcissistic warp in their self image as
much as it is a state of denial.  Again,
this is due to their status in life (and is
usually due to some cruelty in the world
that defined their life as less desirable
than other people’s).
Conflicts
The conflicts for the Hoodie Who are
often self imposed traps in thinking
associated with:

1.  Trying to be something a person
 is not.
2.  Desiring celebrity status so a
person will be admired and
adored.
3.  A fracture in a person’s internal
 value mindset versus external
 reality.
4.  A painful experience in which the
character withdrew into a world of
 their own.
5. Buying into the worldly mantra that
 people can become anything they
want if they work hard enough.
6.  Wanting to be generous with other
 people who believe in them.

Conflicts and self imposed traps are
always entwined.  Conflicts arise when
people who are supplying the
accouterments of the success dream
“put their foot down” and quit
supporting the dysfunctional
relationship that never supplies
anything other than a desire for more.
These people get sick and tired of
propping up the Hoodie whose ego,
dreams, and hope to escape their life
circumstance with the promise of
remuneration.

The Hoodie Who often panics when
this happens and will begin to promise
even more and assure the participants
that they have almost rounded the
corner to the goal.  They may even
come up with some weak proof that
success is about to pay off but it never
does.  The Hoodie Who may walk away
from a relationship only to seek out
those who are “still on the line”.

Resolution
A Wise Old Man or Wise Old Woman
who steps up to the task of telling the
Hoodie Who the truth and helping them
to come to grips with their reality error,
is doing a Divine Service.  These
people supply a dose of self esteem
and courage as the magic elixir to help
the Hoodie Who come around to self
acceptance and find some peace in the
life to which they are assigned.

The Wise Old Man or Woman can
come forward in a bolt out of the blue
when the Hoodie Who is down and out
and ready for advice.  They may be
characters who have watched the
dysfunctional process from afar and
come forward with the elixir of
information needed at the time to break
the cycle.  The Wise Old Man or
Woman is rarely one of the people who
are energetically corded to the
scheme.  The Hoodie Who would
rationalize that these people do not
have sufficient faith in them and lack
vision.  But an uninvolved Good
Samaritan would be acknowledged.

Storylines
1.  A talented, street performer needs
money and connections in order to
realize his dream of becoming a
celebrity in Las Vegas.  He is well
connected to family, friends and local
lounge owners who realize the Hoodie
Who’s potential and supply the needed
resources.  However, the Hoodie Who
continually misses opportunities due to
his self imposed traps of arrogance,
lateness, and inflated self esteem.
When the givers sever their ties and the
Hoodie Who’s dream collapses, a
Wise Old Man in the form of an agent
tells him the truth.  He will not make it
without acting like a professional.  The
agent will not represent him until he
works the local circuit, repays the
favors of family and friends, and grows
up.

2.  A veterinarian communicates with
animals in order to develop cures and
methods to enhance their quality of
life.  Many participants invest in his
business and the vet produces
astounding results.  The vet has the
resources to trademark his process for
mass market consumption and pay
back his investors.  His self imposed
trap of greediness and wishing to keep
the process to himself trips up the
process.  The investors pull back their
support and leave the scientist high
and dry.  A Wise Old Man in animal
form gives the vet the elixir of
information that the point of the
experiments was to help the animals to
have a better life and not to bolster his
personal ego and status.

3.  A child wishes to realize his dream
of becoming a celebrity athlete and
goes through his parent’s entire life
savings trying to achieve the status that
he has the talent to produce.  When he
grows up and accepts a college
scholarship, he no longer wishes to
pursue that dream and abandons it in
favor of parties and living off of his
minor college athletic status.  His
ability collapses along with his training
and he is injured during a game.  He is
no longer able to repay the debt to the
parents and supporters.  A coach gives
the athlete the elixir of knowledge in
order to break free.  There is no sense
in mortgaging the future before it
arrives.  The athlete should have
pursued achievement athletically first
and let the super star status come
along if it was meant to be.

4.  A child model wishes to become a
singer and uses all of her parent’s
wealth and friendships in order to
achieve her personal dream (with the
promise of riches to those who buy into
the process).  The would-be singer
uses all sorts of technological support
to “sweeten” her otherwise average
voice.  When she is asked to do a live
performance on television, she does
not perform to even minimum
standards.  Her career collapses and
she is not able to repay the debt to her
parents, family or friends.  She
withdraws and implodes with
depression.  She uses her good looks
to run with a local party circuit.  A peer
in the form of a Wise Old Woman gives
her the elixir to break free.  She can
enjoy music and become involved with
other facets of the music business.
She can develop her business sense
methodically and see what comes next
in the lifestyle to which she is
assigned.  Mortgaging the future to
create a version of herself never
works.  By making correct, daily
choices she can layer a successful
and satisfying life.
