Predictions: 2nd Quarter 2004                                        Posted 6/22/04
Headlines

Iraq Freedom Will be Historic

Oil will be in short supply by Fall
Correct 9/28/04 Fox News reports oil is
selling for $50, an all time high, due to
fears of a shortage by Fall.

Job Losses and the Disappearing
Dollar in the US
Correct 10/07/04 An Associated Press
article reported that “Despite 13 months
of modest payroll growth, President
George Bush will be the first president
since Herbert Hoover to face re-election
with fewer payroll jobs than when he
took office.” This results in as net job
loss of over 600,000 in the last 4-years.

Job Losses in the United Kingdom

Unusual Weather
Correct 9/04/04 All the news outlets
report on Hurricanes, Charlie, Frances,
Ivan and Jeanne all hit Florida in
a two month period. An event unseen in
history.

Deserts Hotter and Dryer
Temperate Climates Rain and Floods
Correct 9/04/04 CNN News reports
record flooding in Haiti after torrential
rains, 1,500 people die

Financial Markets
The Japanese Yen is still an issue (see
previous readings 4th qtr 2003).  The
Yen is not without investor merit but the
Japanese market should be classified
as a "risky" investment at this time.

7/16/04
USA Today newspaper reports
that Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro
Koizumi's party suffered a setback that
allows him to keep his job but weakens
his ability to move ahead with economic
reforms that are needed. Koisumi's
support has fallen to 37%.

Economic woes in the United States
and the United Kingdom will abound in
this quarter and the next (2004) as the
shrinking capacity of the dollar and
pound will not stretch as far for working
class families.  Families will be hard hit
and under pressure and unemployment
figures will rise again.  Jobs will be lost
and what little money is available to the
working class will be in short supply.

Correct 10/09/04 USA Today
newspaper published an article that
reports that the US House of
Representatives is seeking legislation
for tax breaks for the 2.7 million jobs lost
in the factory and manufacturing sectors
in America.  In a related article, AT&T
announces job cuts for 20% of its
workforce in order to stay viable.

Dwindling free circulating money will
lead to the demise of many small to
moderate sized businesses.  The
solution is in stimulating the economy
not through printing more money or
encouraging more debt accumulation.
The answer lays in increasing interest
ratios which only the Federal Reserve
can do.

Globally
Earthquakes have subsided yet oceanic
changes will result in unique weather
patterns into the Fall 2004.  Deep
oceanic fissures have released thermal
deposits under the ocean floor in the
Pacific causing a rising temperature in
small oceanic layers not readily affecting
climate per say but affecting marine life.
Cool and deep water marine life will die
in tremendous numbers from the
unique phenomenon
. Correct 7/14/04
An article in Science Journal (2004) vol.
305 reports that carbon dioxide is
dissolving into the world's ocean. The
oceans are absorbing the gases which
is seriously putting shellfish, snails,
planketon in danger of shell building
and they could become extinct. This
study attributes the cause to human
carbon dioxide fossil fuel burning not
underwater fissures which the channel
said is the source.

Temperate climates will cool and
deserts will be hotter and dryer towards
Fall.
Correct 7/14/04 FOX News
reported that record rainfall in Japan led
to flooding not seen in more than 25
years. Many towns were flooded and
many people lost their lives.
Entertainment
The summer box office receipts will be
tight with sleeper hits offering
surprising results and block busters
(as production companies claim) will
only have moderate success.
 Correct
7/16/04 USA Today newspaper reports
that Hollywood keeps churning out
special effects Sci-Fi films although
they have had fewer blockbuster hits
since 1994. Chronicles of Riddick is a
huge summer 2004 box office
disappointment.

The block busters will be strong in the
long run with audiences and make
more money with longevity over a
longer period of time.  Troy, which
started out very big, will remain so and
the drop off will come when the foreign
market fails to warm up to the concept
piece.  Comedies will be strong with
moderate success.

Many people will seek out spirituality
and patriotism as of upcoming media
events and this should be viewed as
appropriate not a matter of one's
personal or collective belief system.

Correct
7/16/04 HBO miniseries
Angels in America is nominated for 21
Emmy Awards even though not overtly
religious in the traditional sense. It is
classified as a new socially conscious
genre.
Correct 10/01/04 USA Today
newspaper ran an article about a small
film
"#S*!" made for 5 million dollars
that is expected to generate a huge
return when released nationally. It is
being touted as part of a "New Age Fad
diet".

The media will have to generate more
products that deal with people's higher
consciousness as opposed to base
emotion such as sex, titillation,
violence, fight and flight reflexes, and
gimmicky jingles and responses.

Correct
11/05/04 USA Today
newspaper reports in it's Lifestyle
Section that Kelsey Grammer began a
series on the paranormal called
"Medium" about "real-life Pheonix
mother of three who is a psychic". (This
psychic predicts that the project will fall
flat. The audience will not relate to it
and the producers and writers will be
careful to avoid religious/spiritual
themes that are at the heart of a
psychic's work. Spirituality and
patriotism are not gimmicky and the
audience is savy enough to know that.
After the curiousity factor fades so will
the project).

In the future, computerization will begin
to lose its appeal.
Correct 7/16/04 FOX
News reports that soft technology
stocks are due in part to consumers
not purchasing as many computers
and technological components.

USA Homeland Security and Foreign
Policy
This period marks a historic occasions
of birth and death; Presidents (Ronald
Reagan) and Nations (Republic of
Iraq).  While many ascribe to
greatness, few achieve as much or as
little as the former President Ronald
Reagan.  It is fitting that his demise if
juxtaposed with the birth of freedom in
the Republic of Iraq, where freedom
will be birthed in a long painful labor.  It
will be a lasting freedom chosen by its
own people and not instilled with
solidly Western values (as many in that
part of the world believe).

Iraqi freedom is freedom to build their
own nation as they want; to build it
anew with refreshed values, free of
oppression and, yes, free of
interdependence on foreign
economies. While much skepticism
still exists, it will come to pass that the
Republic of Iraq will be devised as a
nation under Islamic rule for the
Islamic People free of Western Alliance
and dependence on foreign oil.  While
it may appear contradictory to devise a
plan of single party rule, it will be
beneficial to allow freedom to ring and
reign for generations to come.  Let the
healing begin.
Correct 2/06/05 CNN
News reports in a Gallup Poll that
President Bush's overall approval
rating is up 6 points from the time of
the Iraqi elections. Public opinion about
the war is more favorable. 57% of
those polled gave President Bush the
thumbs up about how the war effort is
progressing.
Correct 2/09/05 CNN
News reports in a Gallup Poll that 61%
of those polled think the Iraqi elections
went better than expected.

Medicine
Health of the majority of the
populations of the Western World
remains sturdy.  New vaccines are
being developed to avert the epidemic
of AIDS and AIDS-related complex and
will emerge as an option towards the
end of the year.
 Correct 7/13/04 USA
Today newspaper reports that AIDS
vaccines are expected by the end of the
year but many think they will fail.
AIDSVAX is considered a flop.
Economic pressure may limit its
availability to all.
Correct 7/13/04 USA
Today newspape
r reports in the same
article that the cost of AIDS vaccines is
beyond what most countries can afford
and it is a global disgrace. 7/16 USA
Today also reports that at the 15th
Annual AIDS Conference in Barcelona,
Spain it was reported that the cost of
AIDS vaccines and medications are
extremely expensive and there was
discussion about how to distribute
these medications to those in most
need and which countries would pick
up the cost. President Bush's
emergency plan has pledged $15
billion over 5 years.

Equal access to prescriptions will
become a political issue while drug
companies make private deals for
lower rates to a select few.
Correct
10/07/04 Live Presidential Debates on
FOX News: President George Bush
talked about new legislation about
Medicare reform. Specifically, he said
he wants more affordable prescription
drugs to be available for everyone.
Senator Kerry countered with support of
more affordable prescription drugs to
be imported from Canada.
Correct
12/03/04 The USA Today newspaper
reports that the Prescription Drug
Benefit given to Medicare recipients
during the political campaign will prove
to be a costly venture that could topple
the US economy by the time the "Baby
Boomers" reach retirement age.
